Murray WhiteMurray White grew up in Adelaide South Australia before moving to Sydney to work in the music industry. He relocated to Tokyo Japan in the early 1980’s and began to practice his skills as a photographer under the tutelage of Newsweek photographer Steve Gardner.

His first published work was a six page Thai Boxing feature for Australian Penthouse.

After moving to Hong Kong in 1991 his career as a photojournalist quickly developed and assignments have taken him to Burma, North Korea, China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, The Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, USA, France, England, Germany, Austria, Saudi Arabia and Kenya.

His work has appeared in major publications including The New York Times, The Independent (UK), The Daily Telegraph (UK), Fortune Magazine, The South China Morning Post, The Japan Times, Le Figaro, Le Express, Das Magazin, Freizeit, The Sydney Morning Herald Magazine, The Bulletin, Penthouse, Asia Week, Asia Inc, Asian Business and The Earth Chinese Geographic among others.

Corporations that have contracted Mr. White include Citibank, Disney Corp, Christies, Orbis International, Andre Heller, The Rodin Museum, Adelaide University, Pharmacia Upjohn, Stellar Concepts.
